Why We Built This Site
Public access in Texas does not mean that every Limestone County record sits in one database. The County Clerk keeps County Court matters, while the District Clerk maintains district civil, criminal, family, and juvenile files. Justice and municipal courts keep separate dockets, and re:SearchTX provides a statewide research layer with access limits. We organize the official contacts, search routes, and request steps so readers can start with the office that actually maintains the record.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Limestone County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a Texas court, Limestone County office, or clerk service. Those limits matter:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Outside companies power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its own results, prices, privacy practices, and service terms. A completed paid signup may produce a referral fee that supports the site's operation. We do not decide what a partner returns, and partner results should be checked against the Limestone County or Texas office holding the original record.
